What is particle board by kronospan?
- Particle Board by Kronospan is an engineered wood panel made from fine wood particles or sawdust bonded together with synthetic resins and pressed under heat and pressure.
- It is one of Kronospan’s most popular and cost-effective wood-based panels, widely used in furniture manufacturing and interior decoration.
Advantages:
- High density uniformity, ensuring easy cutting, drilling, and finishing.
- Smooth and even surface,
- Dimensional stability, meaning it doesn’t expand or shrink easily.
- Cost-effective compared to MDF or natural wood.
- Environmentally friendly, made from recycled wood and compliant with low formaldehyde emission standards (E1 or E0 grades).
Particle Board Types:
- (P2):
- Application: For interior use in dry conditions (e.g., indoor furniture, office furniture, kitchen cabinets in dry areas)
- Characteristics: Non-moisture resistant , Very smooth and uniform surface, Typical Color is light beige.
- (P3):
- Application: For use in humid environments (e.g., bathrooms, kitchens, laundry rooms)
- Characteristics:Enhanced moisture resistance due to special resins , Resists swelling or delamination , Higher mechanical strength than P2 , Typical Color is green.
