Egypt Wood is seeking a detail-oriented, analytical, and highly organized Accountant to join our finance and accounting department. In this role, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial transactions, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining accurate financial records that support our industrial operations. You will play a key role in tracking costs, managing accounts, and providing the financial insights needed to sustain our growth as a leading premium wood manufacturer in Egypt and the MENA region.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Record Keeping: Record daily financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries, ensuring maximum accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Invoicing & Billing: Issue accurate commercial invoices to B2B clients, follow up on collections, and process supplier invoices and payments in a timely manner.
Cost Accounting Support: Assist in tracking manufacturing and production costs, inventory valuation, and analyzing variances to help optimize factory efficiency.
Tax Compliance: Prepare and assist in the timely filing of local tax returns (VAT, Corporate Tax, Withholding Tax) in accordance with Egyptian tax laws and regulations.
Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations and monitor daily cash flows to ensure all balances match internal accounting records.
Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, balance sheets, and profit and loss reports for management review.
Data & Asset Management: Organize and maintain secure, structured archives of all financial documents, contracts, receipts, and vouchers for auditing purposes.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience: 0 to 3 years of proven experience in accounting. (Fresh graduates with strong academic records and internships are highly encouraged to apply). Prior experience in a manufacturing, factory, or B2B context is a strong advantage.
Technical Expertise: Mastery of MS Excel (Advanced functions, pivot tables, formulas). Familiarity with ERP systems (like SAP, Odoo, or Oracle) is a major plus.
Accounting Knowledge: Solid understanding of standard accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS), bookkeeping practices, and local Egyptian tax laws.
Attributes: Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical skills, high ethical standards, and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight financial deadlines.
Language: Professional proficiency in Arabic and English (written and spoken) to handle financial documentation and corporate correspondence.
