What is OSB?

  • OSB (Oriented Strand Board) is an engineered wood panel made from long, thin wood strands that are arranged in cross-oriented layers and bonded together with synthetic resins under high heat and pressure.

Advantages:

  • High strength and durability due to the cross-oriented fiber structure.
  • Excellent dimensional stability – it doesn’t easily expand or shrink.
  • Moisture resistance.
  • Easy to cut and shape.

Applications:

  • Wall, roof, and floor sheathing in wooden constructions.
  • Interior wall cladding and decorative surfaces with an industrial or rustic look.
  • Modern furniture, especially in industrial-style designs.

Types:

  • OSB2 : For interior furniture or general use with load-bearing capacity.
  • OSB3 : Moisture-resistant; suitable for humid or semi-damp environments .
